The ASTM A871 specification is the standard specification for high-strength low-alloy structural steel plates with atmospheric corrosion resistance used in tubular structures and poles. Grades 60 and 65 are available in the as-rolled, normalized, or quenched and tempered delivery conditions as required to achieve the specified mechanical properties.
