High temperature wear tests for 3Cr2W8V steel were performed by a pin-on-disk high temperature wear apparatus.The effects of quenching temperatures on wear resistance of 3Cr2W8V steel were studied.The compositions,images and structure of worn surfaces were analyzed using SEM,EDS and XRD.The wear mechanism was discussed.The results show that quenching temperature has apparent influences on wear rate of 3Cr2W8V steel.The 3Cr2W8V steel quenched at 1 050~1 150 ℃ exhibits lower wear rate.As quenched at lower or higher temperatures,the wear rate of the steel is marginally increased.The apparent deformation is found to exist in matrix under oxide film,accompanying with crack and oxide.The mechanism of high temperature wear for 3Cr2W8V steel is fatigue delamination of oxide.
