JIS G3103 specifies the hot rolled steel plates of carbon steel and molybdenum alloy steel to be used for boilers and pressure vessels, excepting those to be used at room and cold temperatures. This standard covers steel SB410, SB450, SB480, SB450M and SB480M.These plates are widely used in the fabrication of boilers and pressure vessels in industries such as petrochemical and manufacturing.

Descriptions:

Mo alloy boiler steel plate SB480M is mainly used for building pressure vessels.The minimum yield strength of SB480M shall be above 275Mpa,and tensile strength of SB480M shall be within 480-620Mpa.For boiler steel plate SB480M with thickness exceeding 38mm shall be normalized when rolling,and belows or equal to 38mm thickness,as rolled is ok.Besides,Ultrasonic test is necessary,and high tension,simulated post welded heat treatment shall be chosed by the end users,such as boiler manufacturers,heat exchanger plants.The best similar steel grade is ASTM A204GrB to SB480M
